- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Get your anticipated cost in writing for your visits/procedures. Do not trust what anyone in billing or the office especially has to say about what you can expect. They forget to mention that you will receive 2 bills. One from the surgery center, and one for the doctors cut, coded for the same procedure. Normal! I know, but for someone who has been relatively healthy all their life and doesn't deal with doctors that often, its surprising to say the least when you ask an anticipated cost, decided to go ahead with a procedure and then, a month later, get a second bill for nearly the same amount from the surgery center. After calling the billing office twice to figure it out, I was questioned by the billing department on who I spoke with in the office about the cost, as if I was fabricating my entire story! Thanks Michelle, I was however able to get your name for the lack of help or empathy you were able to convey during our phone call.
